Tleń lies on the Wda River, by Lake Mukrza and the Żur Reservoir, inside the Tuchola Forest. It has been a holiday village for more than a hundred years. In Prussian times it was known as Luftkurort Klinger.
The Żur Reservoir was created by damming the Wda. You can sail, kayak, and use the beach in Tleń.
The Wda is a popular kayaking route, and the section near Tleń is calm, often chosen for shorter trips. Local kayak rentals also arrange transport.
